Manually Close Garage Door

When you pull down on the rope the carriage releases from the base and you can operate the door manually.

Do this by pushing upward on the release lever until you hear a slight click. When closing the garage door lower it slowly and manually lock it by sliding the lock bar. Locate the emergency cord on the overhead track of your garage door opener.
Avoid opening or closing your garage door if you can after noticing any of the above.
