Mazda5 Sliding Door Lock Problem

The contact owns a 2009 mazda 5.
Mazda5 sliding door lock problem. Actually none of the mazda5 models have power doors or a feature where the door closes by itself. On the rear of this actuator body there is the electrical connector and just above. The contact attempted to close the door but the sliding door failed to latch. I took the mazda5 in for an oil change last week and i told the service advisor about the problem.
The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that both rear door latches needed to be replaced. I guess they figure that this dealer has a magic wand to fix this defect in the car. Our sliding doors haven t had a problem opening it s the closing that is the issue. We currently have a similar problem on our 2002 mpv front door locks are fine sliding door locks are iffy rear door lock just basically doesn t work anymore.
It s very interesting how mazda is throwing you back to your dealer. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The dealer is merely selling a defective car supplied by. The problems for all three doors started at about the same time.
When i picked up the car the guy said he had ordered something called an actuator for the sliding door problem. While driving 35 mph the rear driver side sliding door opened independently.
